Along the banks of the Seine in Clichy, in a landscape characterized by a certain notion of modern esthetics and the city’s industrial past, our project must find its fulfillment and its harmony. To create a real neighborhood in its own right, to imagine the profile of a new street along its entire length, in other words to invent an entire section of the urban fabric: these are some of the sizeable urban challenges we are facing, At the same time, while respecting the alignment and the staggered arrangement of the plots, we must create alternating garden courtyards and buildings to give urban diversity to the street space. An alternation that also makes it possible to cut lateral openings north and south to create river views, without being hampered by riverside buildings, to beautify the site on which our new piece of city is smoothly inserting itself.
Central to the project, the BDS1a and BDS1b lots are designed according to a framework that adapts to environmental needs, views and directions.
Offset volumes, “living” materials, facades that vary according to the arrangement of shutters, our project calls for multiple interventions by external elements to create a contemporary architecture that bends to needs and context.
Identifiable yet shifting, these buildings give everyone the feeling of living in a unique building, a building designed for them.
