At the corner of two main axes, facing one place and in visual contact with the Fort d’Aubervilliers area, the proposed transaction is an urban crossroad. It plays an essential role in the neighborhood revival image and must be one of the urban and architectural harmonisation vectors. Like the city’s image, the project consists of strata whose effect results from different white arrangements encompassing a dark main volume. The building orchestrates the different scales of the city: the topographic stratum of shops strongly related to the ground, the tree and low layer relative to the suburban housing and the more aerial high stratum, in reference to the towers. The treatment of each stratum plays with the external and internal perceptions, while ensuring overall consistency. This project addresses the symbolic and functional ambitions of the 21st century city and appears as an environmental icon for the neighborhood.
